What is the difference between services offered at Northside Pilates and Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is the application of pilates in a clinical framework, adapted by physiotherapists to make them more suitable for patients with back and neck pain, and those recovering from injury. At Northside Pilates our instructors are not physiotherapists, however they liaise with clinicians and are highly trained in developing and teaching specific rehabilitation programs.
What should I wear?
Comfortable workout clothes and bring a towel /water bottle. To ensure keep our studio equipment remains clean,we require that you wear clean socks.
Can I claim a rebate with private health insurance?
Check with your individual health fund provider for their requirements concerning Pilates session rebates.
What if I am late for my class?
You will only be allowed to join the class within 10 minutes of the start time. This is for your safety as you will have missed the warm up and stretching. It is also out of respect for the instructor and those who have arrived on time.
What if I am injured?
Pilates can be tailored to suit rehabilitation and recovery of most injuries, conditions and postural concerns. It is recommended that you schedule a private session to discuss your programming requirements so that we can provide you with the correct tools that will allow you to get the most out of your pilates workouts.
What if I need to cancel my session?
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for all classes and private appointments. If you do not cancel within the 24 hour window, we will charge you for the class or appointment. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
